  • Some companies run multiple challenges at the same time. With more live challenges, admins wanted a way to better organize their homepage and promote the “main events.” In solving that problem, we might have gotten carried away and given the whole group homepage a big glow-up! We’ve also added the ability to “multi select” wellness goals, restored direct support for Samsung Health, and made many other small upgrades. Enjoy!

  • Count. It challenges have long had dedicated newsfeeds, and our latest release launches @mentions for all users, complete with push notifications. Challengers can now cheer on their friends, or call out their rivals — and everyone will get the message! The release also delivers an (optional) daily points cap. Admins concerned that some users might overdo it can now place a limit on daily points. We love our superstars, but sometimes it’s good to focus less on the top of the leaderboard and more on getting everyone across the goal line. Finally, this “back to school” release contains tons of performance improvements and fixes, allowing Count. It to be faster and more reliable, even for groups with thousands of users. Enjoy!

  • Out with the old, and in with the new: Our latest release begins the migration of our Fitbit and Google Fit users to the new Google Health app. The migration will happen in phases over the coming months, and comes with an update to our tracker-integrations engine that delivers even faster, more reliable syncing. This release also includes many small fixes and performance improvements. Download and enjoy!

  • Last week we shipped new activity metrics and route maps for our runners, swimmers, and bikers. This week, a small but mighty enhancement for admins: deep linking to app pages. Now you can drop a link in any email, Slack message, or announcement that takes members straight to your new challenge. If they don’t know, now they know!

  • Count. It hosts challenges for run clubs across the land, including one of the largest marathon organizations in the world. This week we updated our activity logs to show more relevant data to runners, bikers, and swimmers — notably pace, distance, and elevation gain. We also added calories burned for all activities. But wait, there’s more: We also rolled out an entirely new and more user-friendly onboarding flow. When you’re having a party, it’s best to greet people nicely at the door. Have fun!

  • Less than two weeks from our last feature drop, we give Count. It admins more reasons to cheer: Every challenge can now have its very own hype video, and admins can set the default leaderboard for their challenge — choosing between Total Points and Consistency. Fire up your people with a video embed on your Info tab, then focus them on the goal that matters most. As usual, this release also includes small fixes and upgrades. Enjoy!

  • This week we come with a gift for our runners: Automatic route maps! Apple Health users can now sync their running workouts, and Count. It will auto-display the related route map, if available. Check your log to see where you’ve been, and give your fellow challengers something fun to react to! Android users, give a shout if you want route maps too! As always, we pour a number of smaller updates and improvements into the release. Enjoy!

  • Less than two weeks since our last release, we’re back with a key new feature for Count. It group admins: downloadable group member reports. Sometimes an admin needs to see who’s in the group but hasn’t yet joined the latest challenge. Answering that question is now easy: simply download the group members report and sort members by challenge status. Voilà! As usual, this release also includes a number of bug fixes and performance improvements. Many thanks to all, and please enjoy!

  • Every team needs a captain! In our latest release, we launch one of the most requested features on our roadmap: User-generated teams. Now group admins can let challenge participants create, name, and manage their own teams. We also added the team newsfeed to the team profile page, and, for good measure, gave every team its own profile pic. As usual, this release includes various bug fixes and performance improvements. Go team!

  • In January, we rolled out newsfeeds for every challenge. As people began posting more messages, we realized our feed needed to up its game. In our latest release, we go full rich social media. We’ve tripled the max length of feed posts, and any challenger can now embed videos as well as post high resolution images with multiple aspect ratios. But wait, there’s more: Hyperlinks now get properly hyperlinked, and, yes, your avatar image can be an animated GIF. Have fun!

  • Our latest release brings two top user wishlist features. First, a direct integration with Samsung Health. Samsung wearable owners rejoice! Meanwhile, we have dramatically upgraded our “Daily Distance” challenges, allowing admins to create “journey” challenges with any destination and multiple checkpoints along the way. Please have fun, and keep the suggestions coming!

  • Following our recent launch of the new Consistency view, our latest release improves performance, fixes bugs, and optimizes UI. Enjoy!

  • Fresh off the launch of the wellness world’s first “social streaks” feature, this release focuses on speed and polish. Screens load faster, animations feel smoother, and we’ve made subtle visual refinements throughout the app — especially in dark mode.

  • Our new release brings an industry first: social streaks. The new Count. It “Consistency” view displays day-by-day (or week-by-week) progress toward any goal. If a challenge calls for 10K steps per day, participants can now see exactly how many days they’ve hit the target — and instantly compare their consistency with other challengers. Personal streaks are a powerful motivator. Social streaks take that to the next level. Enjoy!

  • Our latest release updates the look and feel of the Goal Zone — and its zooming behavior. Challengers now receive alerts when someone comments on or reacts to their activity logs. Under the hood, we’ve improved how step counts are de-duped from workouts in combination challenges. As always, there are lots of smaller fixes and improvements too. Enjoy!

  • Last month we rolled out live newsfeeds for every challenge. With our latest release, we’re giving admins more power to moderate and promote feed posts. We also made a bunch of other small improvements and fixes. Please enjoy, and keep the great suggestions coming!

  • Count. It challenges are about community. This is why our latest release brings a social NEWSFEED to every Count. It challenge! Our new “Feed” delivers real time activity updates to the app, and provides a central place for news and conversation. Don’t be shy!

  • In our latest release, we’ve optimized our sync alerts to make them less intrusive. We’ve also refined how we “de-dupe” steps from exercise workouts; and there are a few other nice stocking stuffers in there as well. Enjoy!

  • Our latest release goes out to all the UI geeks: Fresh from enabling comments and images in user activity logs, we’re updating the activity log visual design. We think the new look is pretty, and we hope you will too! As usual, this release also includes a bundle of other upgrades and tweaks. Enjoy and keep the feedback coming!

  • Let there be…words! In our last release we gave you images. Now we add comments: Count. It challenge participants can now post comments for each other on their activity logs. Don’t be bashful! The root of community is communication!

  • To celebrate STEPtember, the amazing Count. It engineering team gives you, wait for it, IMAGES! That’s right: All users can now add images to their activity logs. Show them that mountain that you climbed, or the ocean you swam across. As usual, there are lots of other goodies in this release as well. Enjoy!

  • In this release, we’ve updated how we award points in challenges that combine steps and exercise. We’ve also added more controls for group joining, allowing admins to restrict membership by email domain, or to turn off new member joining entirely.

  • We’re excited to release improvements to our Slack integration, as well as enhancements to app accessibility for screen reader users. As usual, there are also a number of performance improvements and bug fixes under the hood. Enjoy!

  • With this release, we are thrilled to introduce customizable wellness goals. Count. It admins can now create challenges that cover virtually any wellness goal imaginable. Not just movement and mindfulness, but also nutrition, hydration, sleep, and much more. We’ve also added cumulative “series” leaderboards for our recurring challenges – and made many other small improvements. We hope you love it! To learn more about the new features, please check the Count. It Help Center.

  • Any good challenge needs a clear pace setter. It’s important to have a consistent target to motivate you. Well, with this release, we’re very proud to introduce the Count. It Pace Bunny! Neither snow nor rain nor gloom of night will keep the Pace Bunny from crossing the finish line! Can you keep up?

  • With this release, say hello to new privacy settings. You want to win the challenge, but you don’t want your boss to know you were at the gym for two hours during “lunch”? We got you! Also, we now let Admins cap team sizes. Last, shhh, we’re proud to deliver web access to all Count. It Journey features. Our mobile app is still the best, but sometimes it’s nice to look at the challenge on the big screen. Enjoy!

  • Following our recent launch of full web access for admins, our latest release cleans up our group settings pages, and includes a grab bag of performance upgrades and prep for big things to come. Enjoy!

2024

  • Our latest release delivers full web access for admins. Group Admins can now log in via any web browser, and create challenges, manage teams, download reports, and more. Also in this release, we have upgraded our chat. Users can now see at a glance if/when there are new messages in the newsfeed, and all user @messages now generate push notifications. Enjoy!
